Research Interests

My research interests were in the beginning as research assistent in the area of automtatic classification of documents. Within the DFG projekt DAFFODIL this moved to the areas:

user-oriented Digital Libraries and evaluation
distributed information retrieval
service-oriented architectures
data integration
user-oriented interactive information seeking and searching
personalisation, recommendation and adaptivity
context oriented information retrieval
longterm preservation

During my dissertation and ask task leader in DELOS Network of Excellence I started to research in the evaluation of digital libraries. The dissertation is finished and can be found here .

My complete CV can be found here: CV. Since August, 1st 2007 i am employed at the distance university Hagen, chair of Multimedia and Internet Applications.

Current my research focuses on the modelling of preservation systems within our project SHAMAN where I concentrate on indexing and searching for archived objects.
